The main rails of the chassis are made from 1"x1"x.125" T6 6061 Aluminum angle, the side plates are made from .065" T6 6061 Aluminum plate, and the braces are made from .25" T6 6061 Aluminum round bar. 3mm stainless steel screws hold everything together. 4 link suspension is made from .25" T6 6061 aluminum round bar. For the rod ends, I used Traxxas Rod Ends tapped for 3mm studs. I drilled the rods and tapped them for 3mm also. Then I cut the head off of some 3mm screws and used them as studs. I also added 3mm nuts to act as lock nuts. Works out great, but the plastic of the rod ends has stripped out on me, so I'm currently looking for something more heavy duty, which will be incorporated into Clodbuster 2.0. Metal rod ends would be great, but I don't want to pay $5 a pop. The body I'm currently using is a Land Cruiser 70 series hard body from the RadioShack R/C Croc Hunter Truck. It can be purchased from RadioShack by calling 1-800-241-8742 and ordering part number 12343117 ($11.29) for the body and 12343125 ($2.49) for the bull bar (front bumper).
