If you are looking
for a place to find information about your Toyota, go no further. I
will give you descriptions and links to several web based message boards
that cover anything from performance modifications, suspension
modifications, interior modifications, to pure cosmetic modifications.
Just read a little bit and make sure you pick the right forum. Just
make sure you tell them Adam F sent you if you make a new post! Outdoor Wire's Toyota forums are one of the most friendly forums on the internet. Here you can find a whole wealth of information mostly about trucks and 4runners. This is the hands down best place for info on 3rd generation 4runners. Your first thing here should be performing multiple searches. Most basic information like lifts, tires, superchargers, and other everyday stuff has been covered. If you still need help, feel free to post a question. Just make sure you pick the correct forum, as there are several forums. 3 of them are the busiest, and frankly are the only ones worth visiting, as the others do not receive much traffic at all. The first one is 4 Wheeling Toyota Trucks and 4runners. This is the hardcore forum. Mostly about 1st and 2nd generation 4runners and trucks pertaining to off-road situations and modifications. You won't find much 3rd generation 4runner information there. Just use common sense here, don't post questions about what window tint looks the coolest or something like that. The other forum is the Toyota 4Runner and SUV forum. Here you can ask literally anything you need help with. The majority of people who hang out at this board own 3rd generation 4runners. But there are still lots of guys there with 1st and 2nd gens. And the last forum to mention is the Toyota Off-Topic Talk forum. This is an off topic forum. Just keep it clean.
Another good forum for Toyota's is Pirate 4x4's Hardcore Rock crawling forum. This forum is not as friendly as the one mentioned above, but is still a great source of information. Just a couple of words of advice. 1, don't ask questions that do not relate to hardcore off-roading. 2, USE THE SEARCH TOOL! A lot of information has been covered there, and they don't appreciate people asking the same question over and over. 3, most questions about IFS are not tolerated, as IFS is insufficient for most hardcore rock crawling. Just keep a open mind while visiting this site. If you get offended my the use of the middle finger, curse words, or harsh language, then skip this site. Next is the Tacoma Territory Off-Road Association's message board. Even though this one is all about the Toyota Tacoma, there are many similarities between the Tacoma and the 3rd generation 4runner. You can learn a lot from this site.
