I sold the 96 4Runner in June
2002. It was just too nice and too new for me. Too nice to take
back in the woods and beat on. Every time I went wheeling I was so
worried about damaging it, I couldn't enjoy myself like I should. So I
sold it and bought an older truck with the intention of building it up to
handle the trails better. The 96 was a great truck to learn in.
I learned that some mods were good, and some were bad. I wasted some money
in some areas that I could have better spent on things like a locker.
Now on my 88 I'm going to do it right the 1st time. Locked and geared.
