I purchased a Portawatz 600 watt DC-AC power inverter and a 2 way fused power block/splitter so that I can run small to large AC appliances in my car.  I first started by removing the drivers seat from the vehicle. I installed it right under the seat. I already had an existing DC 8 gauge cable running back to my amp. I used this for power. What I did was cut the cable in half, put the side that runs to the battery to the input of the power block and the side that was running back to the amp to one of the block's outputs. Then I ran a separate 8 gauge cable to the inverter. I ran a ground cable to one of the bolts of the seat, which grounds out on the body of the truck. I did not have a drill bit good enough to secure the inverter to the body of the truck, so I will have to go back and do that. No big deal though.
