4runner- Exhaust
- 2.25" from factory down pipe to muffler, 2.5" back from muffler.
- Built from aluminized steel tubing an mandrel U-bends from Summit Racing
- Made oxygen sensor mounts from 3/8" steel drilled and tapped for factory studs.
- Stage 1: Summit cat and Aero Turbine muffler
Cat turned out to not be smog legal (not OBDII certified).
Muffler droned in the cab on the highway and was noisey at high RPM's, but sounded great at crawling speeds (I had several people ask if I had a V8 while on the Rubicon)- Stage 2:
Reinstalled the factory cat, which had to be mounted a bit closer to the floor and frame than I liked, but it still ended up fitting and clearing the suspension and driveline.
Switched to a Flowmaster 50 Series SUV muffler while I was redoing the cat and I'm much happier with the interior noise level.
