4runner- Rear Suspension
- 4-link Suspension
- Approximately 4" lift. Frame was raised from 16" to 23" with the suspension and 37" tires
- Axle was moved back 4"
- Triangulated lower links and parallel upper links made fitting the exhaust and air bag much, much easier.
- 2 x 2 x .188" square lower links (38.5" not adjustable)
- 1.5 x .125" DOM upper links (~38.5"), Ballistic Fab tube adapters
- Currie Johnnie Joints, standard 2.5" and 1"-14 studded style
- Ballistic Fab 1"-14 threaded bushing sleeves
- Large Jeep YJ spring bushings (narrowed to 2-5/8" width), (Suspension.com)
- 13" BBCS shocks with coil spring valving (Poly Performance)
- Modified Ford shock towers, (Parts Mike)
- Original 4runner rear coils springs, or...
- Jeep XJ front coil springs, 1 wrap cut off
- Firestone air bag
- Fox 2.0 hydraulic bumpstops, travel limited to 2" (Poly Performance)
- Rock Equipment antisway bar
- Original round tube crossmember was removed and replaced further back to clear upper links- 2.5 x .120" round tube
- Axle
- '97 Tacoma axle, 60.5" wide, shaved and trussed
- Marlin 1.5" wheel spacers (63.5" overall width)
- ARB air locker, 5.29 gears
- Poly Performance chromoly axle shafts
- Sky Manufacturing rear disk brake swap (also see Brake page)
