Wellsville, Ohio Ride: November 27, 1999

Participants:

Here's a few pictures from our post-Turkey Day trip to Wellsville. We really lucked out: the day prior, it rained all day, but we had perfect weather and largely managed to avoid the mud (largely, not completely). This first sequence was on a little obstacle that makes you wish you had about 3 feet of suspension travel on the way down -- the see-saw effect is interesting! No body damage either!

In one picture, Ken muched the side of his Ranger in a gulley, breaking the mirror and taillight, and generally enhancing the form of his sheetmetal. As we pondered how the rest of us would get off the hill (backwards, it turned out), another group parked by Ken and starting firing their guns. Great. But we managed to get off the hill fine, and Ken made it out without incident.

We also ran across some Jeepers. We followed them down to a 8-10 foot waterfall that gave the TJ's fits, but everyone made it ok.

The pictures with the faint black borders are courtesy of Tony and Lynda Mellors -- thanks guys, and it was great to meet you!

All in all, an awesome day -- great wheeling and great company!
